More than 16 million children in the United States, 22% of all children, live in poverty.  For Amber and Elinor, two busy medical school honor students, this statistic is unacceptable.  And so…

Corbin’s Legacy, a 501c3 public charity is pleased and grateful to officially announce a strategic Partnership with Sigma Sigma Phi, Psi Chapter Honor Society of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harlem Campus.  Now, in addition to the assistance that Corbin’s Legacy offers to children in need nationally, through our 9 line request form (https://corbinslegacy.org/how-can-we-help-you), this collaborative partnership will also allow us, with committed medical student boots on the ground, to employ the Corbin’s Legacy Change for Good Model in schools identified as most in need in targeted geographic areas. Our first stop – HARLEM, NY!

Amber Pinson is a second year medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, NY. She is the Vice President of Sigma Sigma Phi, Psi Chapter, an honorary osteopathic service fraternity. Amber is also a Co-Director of Touro’s MedAchieve program. When she isn’t serving the community she helps students as a teaching assistant for osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Elinor Naor obtained her B.S. in Mathematics and a Master’s in the Interdisciplinary Studies in Biological and Physical Sciences. Today, She is a second year medical student at Touro COM. She is the President of Sigma Sigma Phi, Psi Chapter. In addition, Elinor is her class representative on the Student Government Association and is the Tutoring program coordinator and speaks multiple languages.

Corbin’s Legacy is an educational and health initiative dedicated to delivering goods and services to elementary school aged children and families in need.  This is accomplished through strategic community partnerships with educators, healthcare providers, institutions of higher educations, professional honor societies and community stakeholders.

Sigma Sigma Phi (SSP) Psi Chapter Honor Society of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harlem Campus – Honor Society furthers the science of Osteopathic Medicine and its standards of practice by becoming involved with the community through SSP’s strong focus on both volunteering and academics.
